FAC VII aims at
- providing a forum for researchers around the world to present papers on developments in the field of fracture characterization of recently developed advanced ceramic materials and ceramic matrix composites,
- promoting the exchange of information between the research community, processing engineers, and users in the field of production, design, and application of advanced ceramics from the point of view of their degradation and failure and
- discussing the possibilities of collaboration of institutes and companies from different countries in the field of development and testing of advanced ceramics.
Topics of the Conference
Ceramics, glasses, 3D printed ceramics, CAD/CAM ceramics | Modelling and statistical evaluation of the fracture processes |
Theory of the brittle failure | Quantitative fractography, fractal analysis |
Fractography in the materials development | Indentation failure/damage |
Fractography and fracture mechanics | Service failures and failure prediction |
Influence of temperature, environment and loading regime on the fracture | Advanced methods/techniques in fractography |
Venue
The conference takes place at Montanuniversitaet Leoben, Austria.
